Hi, my name is Peter Gilgan and I am the President and CEO of Mattamy Homes Ltd.

Mattamy has supported United Way of Oakville since 2002. We LIVE UNITED by running a very spirited employee campaign every year with tremendous support from everyone involved. Our campaigns are completely employee organized and driven. Holding a United Way campaign is a chance to energize your employees and build morale, all while raising money for an important cause.

Our employees have always been extremely generous and it's always been an easy decision for us at Mattamy to follow their lead and match their donations. We're all about 'home' at Mattamy and Oakville is our home town.

I encourage you to join me, and LIVE UNITED.

Believe that together we can make a difference in our community.

Hi, my name is Victoria.

After my father passed away, I became vulnerable and fell into a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship. My self esteem was slowly stripped, my spirit broken. After I left the relationship, a friend introduced me to Halton Family Services, a UWO funded agency, where my son and I received counseling. They gave my son and I a second chance at life.

My journey has inspired me to help others. I run the United Way campaign at my office to ensure that help will be there for others. I encourage you to donate; your donation can change the life of someone like me!

Believing in myself and others is how I LIVE UNITED.

Inspire others through your actions as a donor or volunteer.

Hi, my name is Chris and this is my family.

I believe it is important to LIVE UNITED to create a better community for every family in Oakville. I LIVE UNITED by donating through my workplace campaign, as well as volunteering at United Way of Oakville.

Volunteering with United Way has allowed me to develop and improve many skills such as teamwork, leadership and public speaking. I have met some incredible people along the way and look forward to meeting many more.

I encourage you to join me and LIVE UNITED. Together we can make Oakville an even better place to live and work!

Inspiring others is how I LIVE UNITED.

Believe that together we can make a difference in our community.

Hi, we’re Brian and Julia Hanna.

We LIVE UNITED and are proud supporters of United Way of Oakville. We believe in the strength and bond of family. When challenges arise, you know that you can depend on your family. We never know when difficulties will occur, and it is comforting to know that, like a family, United Way of Oakville is always there to help us through these tough times. We are so fortunate to have an organization that works hard to address the needs of many. Help us ensure that there will always be a helping hand; your donation could change someone’s life.

Join us, and LIVE UNITED.

My name is Don Pangman.

My family and I moved to this wonderful community 35 years ago. Oakville has seen dramatic changes over that period and we have always embraced them. We are truly fortunate to live here. But what hasn't changed are the "pockets" of despair, quite possibly on every block, something going on behind closed doors, perhaps a loss of a job, drug or physical abuse, or a sudden downward spiral in health.  What has changed is the demand for services. We have agencies that are well prepared to address each and every need, but it simply cannot happen without our financial resources.

I LIVE UNITED by recognizing how lucky we are, and how we can share our good fortune with the vulnerable, who might even turn out to be a neighbour.
